We are looking for a seasoned, hardworking, smart and over achieving Sales Engineer with proven experience and a passion for selling power generation solution. You will be responsible for selling into new prospects as well as farming back into existing customers to ensure high renewal and customer satisfaction levels. Measures of success include new customer acquisition rates, renewal rates, up-selling, cross-selling, customer satisfaction and contribution to overall sales team and business success.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

· Energized & focused on developing and growing the rental market

· Sells company products and services by developing new prospects and accounts

· Identifies, researches, and contacts prospective customers and builds positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business; Identify economic and competitive markets

· Build relationships through outside sales contact for rental of power generation equipment, transformers, loadbanks, and distribution.

· Influence the rental of our products and services to our customers and provide effective solutions

· Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, annual revenue goals and ensures customer satisfaction

· Personal customer contact and cold calling required

· Discuss trends and topics at scheduled meetings

· Establish and maintain relationships with customers

· Promote all services provided by the rental department such as fuel services, engine services, etc.

· Prepare, log, and follow-up on quotes

· Negotiating and closing sales opportunities

· Maintain Company/Department contact and lead database

· Builds and maintains customer relationship to achieve sales goals and executing rental sales plans within an assigned sales territory or account.

· Maintain customer contact throughout rental quote, delivery, pick up and invoicing

process

· Take rental calls, follow up on all rental sales activity within the department

· Be available after normal business hours to respond to customer’s rental needs

Training/ Certifications

· OSHA 10-hour certification

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Skills/Requirements

· Previous experience working in power generation/medium voltage industries

· At least 2 years minimum experience working in a professional sales-oriented environment

· Sales and negotiation skills with a proven sales record- able to formulate sales call plans, conduct calls according to plans, gather information and negotiate terms of sale/services

· Focus On Customer Needs - Able to leverage network of customer contacts to attain customer specific information that will provide useful in making informed business decisions and increase understanding of customer needs.

· At least 1-5 years of relevant sales experience required and/or equivalent industry experience.

· Excellent customer service- manages customer interactions and relationships to maximize sales opportunities

· Able to formulate sales call plans, conduct calls according to plans, gather information and negotiate terms of sale

· Able to develop strategies to grow business, formulate marketing plans, identify support needs, and measure progress. Understands what strategies need to be put in place to strengthen customer relationships that support account planning as well as loyalty.

· Rental sales and marketing knowledge

· Consistently demonstrates ability to establish rapport, meet commitments, and develop effective working relationships with customers

· Can recognize the balance of power within a negotiation and has the skills to alter that balance

· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

· Proficiency with computers and all aspects of Microsoft office

· Self-motivated and resourceful

· Professional appearance

· Good Safety record

Additional Information

· Traditional work schedule to include occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.

· High school diploma or GED-preferred

· Working irregular hours, shifts as pertaining to trade shows, weekends, holidays, and evenings maybe required

· Occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stay- required

· Must pass background check, physical exam, and drug test screening

· Legal and/or proper documentation to work in United States or US Citizenship- required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $55,800.00 per year
